The 2018 CASSIES Shortlist Announced

Which agencies, clients and campaigns will be awarded at the gala on February 21?

Toronto, ON – November 23, 2017 — The CASSIES, Canada’s only industry awards program that recognizes business effectiveness based on rigorous published cases has announced its 2018 shortlist. The CASSIES are an industry-led benchmark and case library, jointly owned by ICA and A2C, and produced by strategy magazine.

This year, more than 230 cases were submitted in 24 categories, including the new “Strategic Thinking” category. The jury, co-chaired by OMD Canada’s CEO Cathy Collier and BRP’s SVP, Global Brands & Communications, Anne-Marie LaBerge, represented clients, agencies, creative, strategic planning, research, and other disciplines from across the communications industry.

Cases from the following 26 agencies and 39 clients were named finalists, successfully meeting the high standards of advertising effectiveness required to pass the benchmarkers judging stage to move into the final jury round and contention for awards at this year’s gala.

The designations of gold, silver or bronze, along with this year’s Effectiveness Index ranking, will be revealed at the awards ceremony on February 21, 2018 at the Arcadian Court in Toronto. The CASSIES Effectiveness Index is a point-based calculation that ranks agencies on their total achievement based on the effectiveness of their marketing communications campaigns.
