The CASSIES announce 2012 Call for Submissions, Chair of Judging and Judges - Preeminent advertising awards show unique in rewarding demonstrable success -

Toronto, ON. The CASSIES -- Canada’s only advertising award show based on proven business effectiveness and backed by rigorous published cases – is pleased to announce its 2012 Call for Submissions, and the debut of a new logo and an improved online entry process. Entries should be filed online at by Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 12:00 pm EST. The CASSIES will be celebrated in an industry held event in Toronto on Monday, January 23, kicking off the much anticipated 2012 Advertising Week – the Institute of Communication Agencies’ ( pre-eminent week-long event, designed to celebrate the advertising industry’s social and economic impact on the Canadian landscape and showcase the industry’s creativity in business communication.

How to win at the CASSIES

Cases must show impressive business results and prove convincingly that these results were the product of the advertising. Last year’s Grand Prix went to Ogilvy for Hellman’s Eat Real, for client Unilever; other Golds were awarded to St-Jacques Vallée Young & Rubicam for Activia Yogourt and client, Danone Canada; DDB Canada for Knorr Sidekicks “Salty” for client, Unilever; CP+B for Molson Canadian 67 for client, Molson Coors; TBWA/Toronto for Nissan Canada; Wunderkind for Because I am a Girl for client, Plan Canada; Sid Lee for SAQ Taste Tags for client, SAQ, and Dentsu for its campaign for Sunnybrook Fundraising, and more.

This year’s Chair of Judging, David Gibb, executive vice president, managing director at JWT, is pleased to announce the panel of judges who represent clients, agencies, media, academic, interactive, international and research disciplines.
